Ticket Help

Ok so I just finished my exhaust, well kinda. It sounds really loud but all the holes are plugged atm. I was driving to class today and a cop pulled me over. I knew I wasn't speeding, used my turn signals to change lanes. He wrote me up for a damn registration... Can I fight that if I get another one? Mine just expired in 1/25/07. 75 and 105 or something for cost

Yes I know I can fight it, I needed to know if anyone had done this before and if it can be a kinda "fix it" ticket. My friend asked on the TCCOA forums and they said I get a new registration and goto the clerk of court and they just charge me $35 court fees and skip court.

you can probably skip court if you prove you have current registration
and just pay the fine.

but as for fighting the fine itself.. you got caught w/o it so your kinda beat on that perspective man.

EDIT:

if he pulled you over for exhaust you can always fine out what the decible laws are and have yours checked. if your under the legal limit he had no right to pull you over.
so that could drop the reg ticket.(probably not though)

sounds like your beat dude.

it's a no points ticket so it's not that bad at least.

just go to the court house and pay the fine man.

I'm going to get a new registration and be like "Here's my new registration, can I just pay court fees for having it or something?" Maybe it'll work

Well here is how my recent ticket happened. I was going 54 in a 35. I got a ticket of course, also i didnt have valid proof of insurance and my license plate bulbs were out.

So, i had my insurance company mail me my current insurance card, went to auto zone and bought and fixed my bulbs, showed up at court on the date and time i was suppossed to. Talked to an attorney who said, "looks like you could use some community service" And i said hell yes. So here is all i have to do.

Pay $50 community service fee and do 15 hours of service.

If i would have had to pay the ticket, that would be about $200 + court costs.

Lets just say that guy hooked me up pretty damn good.

I dont know too much about registrations but get a new one, and take it to court with you and see what you can do.
