I totally agree with navyman. Government is too involved with everyone's every little thing going on in there life and not getting the job done. You can be gay/straight when the job is done. Until then, get the damn job done so we can come home.

I agree with FM1R.
Just leave it alone. Seriously. It pisses me off to no end that in WWI, the last thing we were worried about was whether or not the person shooting the enemy next to us is gay or not. Same for WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and almost every conflict in between. Now we're concerned. Sure, there were questions raised. But why do we see it an issue- if it hasn't been as much as before? Ever think about that? Did we ever have to worry about American flags being flown in school? Not until recently. Did we ever have to think twice before thinking about punishing our kids with a paddle? Hell no. Did Americans have to think of whether or not the person they were enlisting with military duties was homosexual or not? Being in the military, it's all a big game you play. If you know how to play the game, you'll come out on top with awards, decorations, and some good people backing you up. If you choose to do it the hard way, well, good luck. Our job as military members is to take the orders given to us and run with it. If homosexuals can't play that game, that's too bad. They can get over it and look to other avenues for a career.
