i agree as well . I mean i see some peoples side of the story .. i dont want a gay person in the shower with me looking at me and getting hard and all taht stuff but i also see that everyone deserves the right to be who they are inside and pursue any life choice that they may want. If you see a man fly to the moon and a woman become a doctor and all you want is to marry a man ( assuming you are a man) and be in the military it shouldnt seem so far fetched.

Here is the deal.

There are gay people in the military now. Also, I feel relationships are between 2 people. Who ever and whatever they are. I really don't give a fuck.

This is not a simple issue, I have worked with gay dudes and lesbians alot. In small units, and during times of high stress and at times my life depended on them. During that time I could give a fuck if that one dude looks at my dick, because he had my back. But I knew him. And I would go get him if he was pinned down by fire in a second. No thought needed, and no hesitation.

However, on the same token, if a dude comes up to me I don't know and acts in a manner that they shouldn't be anyway I am going to fix that situation.

It is not you are fucked up if you don't like gay people. There are ways you should and shouldn't act. I don't go into the girls head and watch them shower. And I don't make advances on men or women, and I expect the same. It is not a race issue, a sex issue or a sexuality issue. It is a person by person basis. I don't like how a person acts or represents themselves, not what or who they are. Same holds true for most people out there.

Don't turn this into a black and white issue because it isn't.

I say let em in and let em flame...and then I say do not make any distinction between male/female sleeping accommodations. Pick troops to room together regardless of gender...then EVERYONE will have to wonder if their junk is being stared at and not just the heteros roomed with homos.

I have talked to several military members on this topic and they said out of the gays they have worked with in the service there were some that did their job and duty just like the soldier next to him but there were also gays that flaunted their homosexuality and pushed their gay lifestyle down your throat which should not be done obviously. I personally think it destroys troop moral and confidence though.

p.s. i heard that 61% of marines and like 40 or so odd percent army personell dislike the repeal of dadt. if we got rid of all of them and were left with bunch of faggots, we would be fucked. plain and simple but that would never happen.....I have differnt views considering i'm not the biggest fan of homosexuals. i mean what do you do when some are good soldiers and some are a large distraction? i mean its natural for any heterosexual to be even a tad uncomfortable around homosexuals....idk....dadt seemed to work pretty well. it was basically for them to get attention. they could already serve and they were already in the military. nobody asked and nobody told. they would only figure it out if you flaunted it or they found out but how would they if the homosexual kept it to him/her self??

I've also worked with gay people since I've been in the military. No once any of them ever come on to me. Do you honestly think any of the eccentric homosexuals are going to join the military if "Dont ask, dont tell" is repealed? I just don't see that happening.

YES. We already had to discharge 2 people for that very reason. Message traffic came out that it was okay to be gay, and it was a fucking riot, and then the said don't ask don't tell is back until they figure it out, and those people got fucked.

Not saying everyone, but there are some. Just like there are dudes that if they said rape is ok, would go do it. Or taking shits on their supervisors desks, or killing people they didn't like

Some people only have control because their job depends on it. I personally don't care. My relationship is between me and my girlfriend. That is how it stays. If everyone else could stick to that, I see no problem. But the problem is it doesn't stay like that.

AAAAANNNNDDD, They seperate sexes in barracks and bathrooms. For a reason. Reduce problems. We are not here to fuck, we are here to get a job done. It should never be about what we do in our off time. It is the job that needs done, get the shit we need to get it done, get it done, go home, and then tackle the next job. We are a war machine. Not a feelings factory.

This shit shouldn't be an issue, if your off time behavior comes into work and makes problems, Fix it or GET THE FUCK OUT.

If and when I have a security team, I need a team of sharp, cold, clean, accurate, killers. Nothing else. And I don't give a fuck if they take it in the ass all day of give it in the ass all day. Just so long as the job gets done and done well the first time. And if I get shot or pinned down, they are going to come get me and get me out of there, and save my life. And we all go home, or go to the bar and get drunk.

Everyone needs to get their shit straight and quit worrying about shit that doesn't matter, that is what is wrong with the military now. I have never had such a bunch of pussies working above or below me in my life. Everyone has a problem or gets their fucking feelings hurt.

my point: im on a boat with about 250 other people 4 of which are obviously not straight. 3 guys one girl. now once your "allowed" to be gay where are they going to put you? they cant leave the guys in the male berthings, or the female in the female berthings. they cant put the guys in the female berthings, or female in the males berthing, and they sure as hell cant all stay together in one orge room, and if they get a state room out of it then by god im a faggot too i want a state room. if your gay and you just keep your mouth shut about it nobody will say anything like navyman said. it doesnt have anything to do about doing the job and being gay. its living accomidations and political correctness.
