Gone in 60 seconds was completely different when they remade it. But it probably made more money with the new version. However, I give major props to the old version cause those accidents were real.

Either way, if they were really going to go for realism and accuracy.... the movie would be done in Scandinavian languages. I personally am going to go, watch it, and if its a good movie i will buy it, if it is a bad movie then its bad. The core of watching movies should be whether you enjoyed that 2 hours or whether you wished you had done something else. If you enjoy it then who cares how accurate it is. I love "A Beautiful Mind" but I know for a fact that John Nash's hallucinations were audio not visual, but it was easier for them to explain them as visual hallucinations. And I am okay with that because it was still a heart wrenching story and it probably made it even more real to the viewers by doing visual instead of audio hallucinations.

To some people Norse mythology is their Christianity so when Marvel Comics turns them into not so accurate action figures, I would have to assume that there were some pissed off Nordics that think that Marvel was making a mockery of their religion. The reason why some white supremacist are pissed (logical? Doubt it) For what ever reason a lot of them are heavy into the viking thing. (watch lock up on msnbc)

scroll down to "Viking revival"
Norse mythology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and in that area they link to
Viking revival - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some white supremacist love Vikings, don't know why, I just know when you cast a character that does not have any place in "their" belief system, they get pissy. To them its putting a gap t-shirt in a hot topic store. Boo fucking hoo

http://www.tattooyoudesigns.com/viking-tattoo-designs

Today many Viking tattoo designs range from representations of the warriors themselves, to representations of the Norse God Odin. These tattoos are meant to represent a warrior’s strength and dedication, as during the height of their power Vikings were both feared and revered.

Many Viking tattoo designs today hold negative connotations because they were chosen by white supremacists to represent their cause. This is due to the conquering nature of the Vikings, and the fact that white supremacist groups in Europe could trace some of their history back to these people. In Viking culture there was nothing hateful about the swastika or any of their symbols, many of them were simply representations of their God Odin.
