Some People just are not intelligent

I live in New Jersey and as most of you know we got hit with a pretty bad blizzard last night. Earlier this morning I was out shoveling the driveway, which is one giant 4 foot deep snow drift. I'm looking up and down my road, which is a pretty steep hill, and there are several cars stuck in the road and one that was on fire last night. As I'm shoveling a guy and a girl walk up to me and ask if they can use my phone because they were stuck in a van all night that wouldn't start. I gladly let them call for a ride with my phone and let them in my house because they looked practically frozen to death.

While talking to them I ask them what happened and they explained how the car just died while driving up the hill. I asked them if they saw the car on fire and they replied with a yes. Now at this time I'm thinking, why wouldn't you ask one of the 25 cops, firefighters, or EMS workers that were on my street for some help? They are using my town's high school as a shelter for anyone who is stranded and I'm sure one of the emergency workers would have gladly brought them there last night. Either way I now have two strangers in my house waiting for a ride so this is my good deed for a while and hopefully karma pays me back one day.

Cliffnotes:
stupid people sleep in a freezing cold car instead of asking one of 25 emergency workers for a ride to the shelter. They are now in my house waiting for a ride.

Well I doubt they are serial killers and trust me we didn't leave them in the house alone. I don't trust anyone, these strangers are still in my house waiting for help and if they try to steal anything they will get a baseball bat to the head.

My mustang was completely buried in a snow drift. I'll post pics of it a little later after I finish, I'm just taking my lunch break.
