real hotrod for sale

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...QQcmdZViewItem

Vehicle Description

You're bidding on a 1988 Ford Festiva Hatchback which has been completely modded into a racing machine!!!

I originally bought this vehicle from a local dealer for $2,000 in 2004, and since then I've lightened the car, modified it and swapped out the engine for maximum torque.

By using the guides and great help from the guys at www.fordfestiva.com and Festiva Motorsport, I was able to make this classic a real contender on the streets.

Many people that know this already understand that it's not the size of the engine that creates speed, it's the amount of TORQUE produced at the wheels and the weight which determines a fast car. Because of the vehicles curb weight, many people choose this car to drag race. For me, it's quick acceleration can over take many brand new and fixed up cars out there today.

This car is completely fixed up and restored to better than it's original condition. Here are the features you can find on this car.

Mods/Upgrades/Repairs

-1.6L 323 Mazda Engine (90K on the Engine, Installed @ 133,000 on the odometer)
-Cold Air Intake (located bottom grill)
-Iridium Spark Plugs
-Mechanical Gas Pump Upgraded (June 2006)
-Fuel Filter Replaced (June 2006)
-Coolant Flushed (June 2006)
-Front Suspension Replaced (June 2006)
-Brand New Clutch Installed (June 2006)
-Lightweight Racingseat and Steering Wheel Set
-Matching Passager Seatcover
-Racing Floor Mats
-Aftermarket Sony Xplode Head Unit MP3/WMA w/ Front Audio Input
-Pioneer 3" Front Speakers (In Stock location)
-Optimus 6x9 Top Mounted Bass Speakers
-Premium Alloy Wheels (Optional Feature on LX Version)

This car is smoke free with no funny smells what so ever. It also sports very strong transmission and has had regular oil changes with Full Synthetic since the installation of the new engine. Also to keep the color and the paint well maintained, I waxed the car twice a year ever since I've had it. Once in the summer and once in the winter.

The car makes great gas mileage at which I can get about 40 MPG with the setup I have now. (Using no spare tire, and lighter racing seat)

If you wanted to make this car even faster, you could add a racing header, exhaust system, or a turbo if you wanted too. The rear seat is also removable, but I wanted to make the car looking as stock as possible. But if you wanted to add performance without having to hassle with a turbo, you could remove the rear seat to free up 35lbs.

Possible Further Modifications

+Remove the rear seat (+5HP)
+Add Racing Exhaust System (+8HP)
+Add Racing Header (+5HP)
+Lighten the Hood by cutting away the sound dampening material (+1HP)
+Remove Carpeting (+2HP)
