I caught the end a cool program last night on the Speed Channel. Dream Car Garage staged a muscle car showdown with a LS6 Chevelle, Buick GSX, Hemi Challenger, GTO Judge, Hurst Olds, AMX, and 69 429 Boss Mustang. They tested the cars in several areas including 1/4, slalom, and burnouts and gave points for each category based upon how they finished. In the end the Boss came out on top just ahead of the Chevelle. I looked on the Speed Channel for a link to the program but no luck. I am sure it will be reran. Very entertaining.

i saw something like that last summer on speed. pretty badass, but the mustang was only made for the 1/4

i saw it too, that Boss rocks! It did a pretty good burnout too.

One more thing I remembered. The fastest time was turned in by the Boss 13.94 @ 100.xx. These were on original equipment tires so with better tires, they could have improved their times significantly.

I had it recorded on DVR. Just watched it tonight. Man that show was kewl but the guy driving the cars was a REAL moron! My favorite line from the show was when he said "Alot of guys say the 9(69 bOSS 429) can't perform in the quarter, well I say BULLSHIT!"!
