There is some deal of truth to the addition of Acetone. Take a good look at Seafoam and Barryman B-12. They are a derivitive of the same stuff. I don't believe in a doubling, but it will increase.

For what its worth....

Testimony: Last spring, I had a 2003 Mitsu Eclipse GS(4cyl). CAI, cat-back, nitrous, ect.
Was gettin' about 27 avg. MPG.
Changed to NGK Iridium plugs and better wires. Nothing special. Was lookin' for more power. I got a small amount. Got more MPG than anything.

Went on a road trip from KC to Nashvile TN. Thats about 8hrs each way. Started usin' the Barryman B-12. Went thru 3 tanks of fuel over the whole 4 days we were gone. Car has a 16 gal tank. That includes the drive there, around Nashville, Gallatin, Murfreeburro, and a few other places. Used the A/C all the time. I got, on avg. 37 MPG. I stand by that product.

Seafoam worked for me. About a couple miles per gallon. I do a can of Seafoam every six months or so. Cleans the system out pretty good.

So his 27 mpg average was all highway driving as well? or was it a lot of in-town city and/or a mix.

Acetone is not a very friendly substance; before you mess with I would read the HazMat guides on it. And don’t smoke when your messing with it!

OK look her's my thinking:
1. Alcohol and gunpowder mix
2. Alcohol and fire works mix
3. Alcohol and guns mix
4. Alcohol and driving do not mix

My 27 mpg avg. was a mix of city/hwy. Bout a 60/40 siplit for the city.

One 15oz can will treat upto 20 gallons. If ya want a stronger mix, use the entire can. If you're like My'StangOpens and a nancy(J/K) use half per fill-up.
