Need advice

So me and several of my friends got jobs at a yogurt shop that just opened. I worked one day, and then they laid everyone off. They had at least 10 employees. They guy said they just couldn't afford to have any employees, and he would be the one working. Understandabe. Opening a yogurt place in the dead of winter isn't the best idea. Anyways he told me to drop by anytime and they would pay me the 50 bucks they owe me in cash. I go a few days later and one of the other guys that owns/manages it is working. Be ries through a folder of checks and there isn't one for me. I told him that the other manager told me they would have it for me in cash, so that might explain why I dont have a check. He calls the other guy and no answer he asks me to come back later to get it. Well I talked to one of my other friends yesterday, and he said he went by and they didn't give him any money either. All of these guys are Iranians. I have worked with Iranians before, and they are just known for doing anything to get out of paying a buck. No offense if you as Iranian. So I'm gonna go back in tomorrow or the next day. If I'm having trouble with them paying. What's a good way to threaten them? Say I'll call the BBB?

did you file any financial paperwork with them?

Go back with all your friends that worked there and dont leave till you get paid, if the police show up explain to them what happened, they will

A) side with you
B) tell you to gtfo

If it's B stand infront of their store on public property telling no one to go there.

Go to the Labor Relations board in your state. File a complaint. Take them to small claims court.

no i didnt file any paperwork. i was going to fill out the tax stuff etc and bring it in the next time i worked, but they laid everyone off before i could. im not gonna go to small claims court for 50 bucks. tiller thats a good idea. were all gonna go wenesday. plus, i could prob blackmail them/ report them. the one day i worked, they had put all the leftover yogurt in a tub labeled "dirty wash rags" to store in the fridge. thats gotta be breaking some serious health codes

If you show up with everyone and they dont pay you, you sit out front telling people not to go there.

They will end up paying you.
