I screwed my mustang up pretty bad apparently.
So i've got two garages at my house. one is an older run down one with a sliding door on it. i parked my mustang in it just before winter so that i can insulate and finish out my main garage.
Well the older garage has a center post that runs up to the main peak (roof has 4 sides). And i guess the other night when i pulled the mustang out to rearrange some stuff in the garage the car slid on the ice a little too much because i ended up sliding into the door of the garage. It scratched the hell out of the side of my car and almost broke my side flair. I saw all this damage last night, made me sick to my stomach. it was late out so i couldnt get any pics, i'll try and post some here soon. On a plus side, with my tax return i'll be buying a new paint job apparently. I just hope that returns comes around soon! I posted a pic of the garage in my other thread on here. i'll keep posting the progress (new doors, windows, siding, wood stove, cabinets, everything! haha)

that doesnt sound too bad, i thought the engine blew or something crush your car from falling on it
i feel your pain but it could always be worse so dont stress it since you already got a plan on how to fix it |

lol, lets not talk about anything falling ontop of it. right now i've got 1,000 dollars worth of hand peeled pine logs sitting in the rafters above my mustang in the older garage. i gotta get that car outa there asap. just worries me with my luck they'll all fall down haha.

I'd love to paint it a new color. but the price to do it right, would be pretty outrageous.
Plus i dont even know what color i'd end up going?

I'm sure if you remove the parts needed to go to a new color and break them down, you could probably get the price cut

I was thinking about block sanding the mustang before hand. but decided to just let them do all the work. im fucking tired of working on that thing. time to see someone else put some time behind the wrench. lol.

Most places won't cut you much of a break if you bring it in block sanded already. They don't want to lose that money so they will tell you, "we won't warranty the work if you want us to cut the price b/c we don't know how you prepped it" or some other BS they will make up. If you block it yourself, you may do a better job getting out all the imperfections they might miss or ignore so there is still a benefit add.

if you are tight on money, you can just get a parking lot paint job... usually itll come out better than a professional job.

I disagree with anyone saying to go with a different color. I love the dark blue on that car. pure sex
