The GI bill is good after 3 years you get your full benefits and if you have at least one class on a college campus they will pay for your housing. they will also cover the costs of one or two classes TUITION at THEIR discretion while your on active duty (not the GI bill but the actual military) When i joined everyone was all they will pay for your school and its so great but when you work a 12 hour day 6 days a week you tend to not find time to do college. its a good decision if you can get an easy job behind a desk where you have time to focus on studying but usually anything dealing with grease or maintenance your screwed. this is just my personal experience by the way, im just trying to let the OP know the OTHER side of the military that people dont see that often.

Theres lots of people in the Military that just use it to become a mechanic. Theres a different route for everyone and I was simply stating my opinion and another option for the OP, Theres more options out there then dropping 30 grand on a school for a certficate only. Im just giving the OP another option, hell maybe he was already looking into it and I could have encouraged him to do so. Or maybe the other way, you could have encouraged him to do so.

Just take it easy and let people have their own opinions without going off on a personal attack about what someone has done with their life.

Fine, have your own opinion. But don't call the school I graduated from and the experience I gained bullshit and not expect them to defend themselves. Which is exactly what you and I did. You wouldn't be a tad angry if someone yelled bullshit on you for being a helicopter tech Derrik?

P.S. Being a ex-military guy I would think you would have more respect for other peoples opinions....
