New phone

I just got a Samsung Focus smart phone and I've already noticed some issues. It's a Windows Phone 7 and when I enter the marketplace for apps it will freeze up before I can finish shopping. I'm browsing on wi-fi so I know the connectionis good. Does anyone else have any issues with this phone or WP7 phones for that matter? If you have any advice that'd be great. Thanks.

p.s.
telling me that I should have gotten a Droid or an iPhone (or anything else) won't help.

I know nothing about Winmo phones. I'm sure Dennis will eventually chime in here.

yea i hate to say it but getting a winmo phone was a mistake. the freezing thing might be software related. before you keep customizing the phone do 3 master resets. thats about the only way to ensure all of the install files and other bullshit gets removed. then go in and remove all of the add-ware shit they put on the phones that you dont want. most likely there is a dozen things running in the background that you dont use or dont want eating away at your ram. now that your on a completely fresh install go here and look around.

keep in mind winmo 7 is still brand new and allot of apps are not going to be compatible with it yet but go check out opnmarket

Omarket v1.30 freeware for Windows Mobile Phone.

that is a market of all free apps made by developers who are tired of paying stupid amounts of money for apps. their all legit no warez and most are made by people from xda developers

Ha ha, funny. Android. I got a good deal and I only really wanted a phone so the extra stuff is sort of cool. I tried the hard reset already and it did nothing. I'm sort of waiting on an update from MS to see if they can fix anything. I know it's an new phone and it'll have some issues, but damn, freezing? Dennis, thanks for the help bro. I'll let you know it I get rid of it for a, um, better platform.

yea i would seriously go look at android phones man. its like winmo only a million times better. usually with winmo phones the only way to get it working the way you want it is flash with with a custom rom

IF you get an android, don't buy a Samsung. They used to make good phones, until they entered the smart phone market. Now they make shit. Odds are your problem is hardware related.

Galaxy S? I had one for a few weeks and it was horrible. Samsung still hasn't released an update for the Captivate. The GPS is broken (their fix doesn't work), amongst a slew of other issues.
