i think if ford would make it in the price range of the vette that would be great! and the design was perfect IMO, looked almost exactly like the original GT40. and that car that ace posted looks

Problem with Ford bringing in a car to compete with the vette is it would cut into the mustang sells, which Ford covets second only to truck sales. I would like to see them build something to fit that niche, personally, but I just don't ever see it happening.

I disagree here. The majority of Mustang sales are for the base v6 trim level. This is a roughly $20k car that people want for the looks. There are still a good amount that buy the GT and a few that bought the Cobra.

I think if they brought a vehicle to compete w/ the Vette that was around $50k, it would take away from sales for the Shelby. I don't think a $50k car is going to take away sales from a car that's in the $20k-$30k. It might take away from just a few of the top, but the base and majority will still be there.

Since SVT stopped w/ the Cobra, I think it would be cool if they made something to compete w/ the Vette.
