Possible new vehicle

Its not official yet but I might own a new vehicle in the next few days. I haven't committed to it yet but should have my decision made tomorrow. I've driven my Suburban for the past 4 years and 70,000 miles so its time to move forward. Here is a picture:

i'd never get an escalade personally.. go for a new suburban, you can get a new one for around the same price as that year model escalade and i think they look alot nicer.. same features, same everything, just less money.. it makes more sense.. but if you like escalades, then go for it, im not trying to talk you out of it or anything, but to each his own

I don't like the look of new Suburbans. I wouldn't ever buy a new vehicle again anyway. If you want a new model year you are better off buying something with 7000 or so miles on it and saving yourself 30% or more. I've looked at new Yukons and Suburbans just to see all of the changes they've made. They have some nice options but I wouldn't go as far to say they have the "same features, same everything" as an Escalade because they don't. Besides that, if I buy this truck tomorrow I'll be stealing it for about $20,000 less than a fully loaded new Suburban.

Just some FYI, I priced out a new Suburban a couple months ago just for kicks. After my discount it was just over $50,000 with all of the options I wanted (which was damn near every option). A steep price to pay for a vehicle I could go and buy used with 10,000 miles for $38,000. My 2000 Suburban was $48,000 and some change new. Suburbans and Yukons hold their value alot better than Fords do but they don't hold there value anywhere near what Cadillacs do. For what I'm paying for this thing I could sell it in a couple years and probably break even, if not make a few bucks on it.

Hey BWAL09, don't forget about the 345 horsepower 6 liter that the Escalades have. I'm a horsepower freak, and that is another reason I'm partial to the Escalade. Now if I could only find a way to plumb a fogger on this thing.....
