picking up a GMC typhoon

My cousin has a 93 typhoon thats been sitting for a couple years. He offered it to me cheap and i'm really thinking about taking him up on it. I've been doing some research on it and it seems like it has a ton of potential. Any thoughts or opinions on this? Anyone out there have any experience with these types of cars? I'll have pics this coming tuesday its the earliest i'm free to go see it.

I think it'll be a fun build and since there were'nt that many made and with a few mod's can run pretty quick times.

Yeah they are pretty wicked and easy to get fast with a big turbo and awd. Talk to flyin ryan in the 5.0 section he has had a few cyclones and I think a typhoon. Knows a ton about them.

well it wouldnt be a daily driver. although i'd deff drive it more than the mustang which hasnt been started in two months.

Typhoons are awesone hot rods. They're worth a pretty penny too. Finding a cheap one is very rare. I would jump on it. The 13 second 1/4 mile times aren't bad either.

My best bud has one,,,,owned by some NBA player from the Spurs. Was a great truck till he tore apart the transmission, never got it back together properly.

Awesome ride though, that thing would shit and get!

Had a hard on for those and Syclones for a long while, still kinda do, seem like they'd be a blast to drive. If it was cheap enough and not in terrible shape I'd jump all over it.
