Now you can make your Hyundai sound like a Shelby Cobra

I just heard about a product (on Pimp My Ride no less) that emulates the exhaust sound of 15 different vehicles (with more downloadable effects/exhaust sounds) through subwoofers mounted underneath your car. You can mount the speakers underneath whatever type of car you may drive, and have it play the exhaust note of whichever car you select, and the sound will change with your engine's RPM. It also emulates tire screeching sounds and turbo blow-off sounds.

It's called a VroomBox (catchy name... I guess) and their website is VroomBox
They have videos and sound clips from their Toyota Sienna minivan, which now sounds like an exotic or muscle car...

You can buy this wonderful product for only $159... And that doesn't include the price of the speakers, amplifier, enclosure, or installation, so you're looking at $1000+ by the time you're done but at least it no longer sounds like a Hyundai forum.

On their website, they say “Instead of paying $500-$700 to improve the exhaust sound with an aftermarket Cat Back why not pay $159 and make your RX-8 sound like a 71’ Hemi Cuda?”. I spent around $250 on an x-pipe and mufflers for my GT that is way louder than I will ever need or desire (ok well maybe there's always room for more decibels

), but I really wish I would have spent $1000+ on the VroomBox and speakers and an amplifier to mount underneath my car.

I can't even begin to imagine how shitty and artificial this would sound in person.
