how many people here have had their wisdom teeth pulled? i just went today and had all 4 removed and the anistesia is fuckin wierd!! the lady put in the IV and told me to tell her when i felt it.. well 5 minutes later i told her i sitll didnt feel anything.. she said good cuz you just woke up and your done! it was 45 minutes later and i was feelin so wierd lol.. anyway it sucks now cuz my mouths real sore still.. but its ok the pain medicine makes me feel pretty good

i had mine out my junior year in high school.

Thats exactly how mine went. IV in, passed out, next thing I remember my mom is helping me walk inside while the door was propped open and my cat had run out.

I remember going inside and sitting on my bed, putting my pajamas on and THEN the next thing I remember after that is waking up to a phone call at 8:30 pm (which was prolly about 7 hours after i had them pulled). Guy said, sorry wrong answer... so being pissed I said figures and hung up. He instantly calls right back and starts bitching at me. So I bitched him out as well as I could with my mouth sore and swollen.

I heard him say lightly "fuck" and then i hung up.

Anyway, I went back to school the next week (they were pulled ona tuesday). The next monday my cheeks were still swollen and bruised, but i could eat because the stitches had dissolved.

I had mine done one at a time in 4 seperate sessions. No shit!! It wasnt that bad tho. The doctor I went to was old school (in his late 70s). He told me that he would save me a buttload of money by not knocking me out. The worst part of the whole experience was him putting one hand on my forehead and pulling with the pliers in the other hand. I thought he was gonna pull my entire jaw off! He was so good at what he did that he didnt even have to cut me once! The wierd feeling came when I was leaving and half of my face was totaly numb. He gave me a prescription for a whole 30 Vicodin too.

I bet you were lovin that though. Vicodin is nasty stuff, i had two coworkers that were hooked on that shit. at least one a night chased by 5 beers.

Theyre great pain killers but highly addictive. When I broke my ankle I was taking 4 a day for 3 1/2 months. Not the white ones either, the big blue ones. By the time the doc quit givin em to me I was hooked bad. I had to quit cold turkey, it was the only way for me. I was awake for a week straight sweating and twitching. I was one horribly crabby person too. After that week was over it was like nothing happened tho. I can still take them for pain when prescribed. I just dont over do it. I know I cant take em for a matter of days or I'll be hooked again and thats not somewhere I wanna be.

i had only 1 pulled out.. I still have 2 more trying to grow in, but I havent had much problem with them.

you arent supposed to drive around or anyhting when on the after-op drugs (dont remember what they give you). it makes you feel high all the time and you have a bad memory too

yea it wasnt that bad while they were doing it, but now its real sore.. and they gave me the shittty oxycodones, the 512's, its only a 5 mg.. i just picked up a few 30's from my buddy, they really help

ya'll are lucky, all i got was 6 shots in the mouth and out they came. I was awake and everything and got to feel the crunching and pulling of the nerves. My wife got the iv and i had a good time laughing at her all night cause it was like she was high.

Removed one when I was 25 and the Dr said that was enough for on day (he wanted to take all 4 but complications). Had the other 3 removed when I was 32 and the Dr fucked up the stitches and I just kept bleeding when I got home....bad! 6 hours later I drove my stoned self back to the Dr for him to fix the stiches he messed up the 1st time. What a ride.

Than a month later I got billed extra for the 2nd visit

No, I went doen there and explained this to them and they told me...get this....that they only tried to bill the insurance co and if they refudes to pay it I would not have to. THIVES!

Ah, so many bad stories! I've yet to have mine removed, but I've never had them grow in yet. They're up there in the roof of my mouth though.

I'm hoping they just grow in, my dad's did and he still has them to this day. I will NOT go under, I am too afraid of it, and not to mention my best friend telling me she woke up in a pool of blood.

Had all four removed plus another three last month. It actaully wasnt as bad as I was fearing. The days following werent painful but more uncomfortable. The doctor gave me 40 Extra Stregth Vicodin and I went back with a dry socket a week and a half later and he gave me 40 more.
I love that shit !! Too bad its already gone. I didnt exactly get hooked on them but I really liked to take 2 and relax the rest of the night.

I wouldnt have gotten hooked if it were just 40 pills but I was given a prescription for 60 with 1 refill per month. Thats 120 vicodin per month and I would take every last one of them. My leg was in real bad shape. The swelling was so bad that they could not operate for 3 weeks after it happened. I had to lay around the house with a broken bone and 3 bone chips in my ankle for 3 weeks so they tried to keep me settled.
