Talk about tough

OK I tow cars at night for my local police dept. Well I get an illegaly parked vehicle in one of our municipal lots so I go to get it with our rollback. I pull into the lot and it is a frickin 1983 Ford box Utility truck! weighing in at about 10,000 to 12,000 LBS. So I try like hell to wheel lift it, NO DICE! I end up having to drag it up on the rollback bed. The cops are laughing, I have the front wheels of the rollback about 2 feet off the ground, It was nightmarish. Finally after about thirty minutes of winching and sliding I got this bastard on the truck. Now for the ride to the shop. My front wheels come of the ground with every bump in the road and of course there is alot of turns to get back to the garage. Holy sh*t I thought I was gonna lose that thing more than a few times. I get to the shop and I can't even go under the pumps awning because it is too high so I have to back around the lot to the impound and then the truck filled almost the whole impound when I dropped it! Damn!

Haha dayum you shoulda had a camera. Most drivers woulda just said they couldn't tow it, shit I wish I coulda seen that.

Reminds me of the time I had Home Depot load up 2500 lbs of concrete mix into the back of a 1989 Dodge D50 Ram (you know the little bitty trucks with a 2.0L 4 banger). Anyways they were even talking about a waiver (joking around) before they'd load it. Well, it all gets loaded into the bed of the truck and the back half of the truck is slammed. That wasn't the worst part. This truck was a 5 speed and it was like starting out in 5th gear, and even worse was if I got over 30mph the truck would start swaying real bad, forcing the truck left or right. It was a nightmare.

When I got the bish up on the rollback the back tires FLAT as a pancake. I had one of the other towing companies guys follow me since he was there. I am gonna start bringing my camera along with me in the truck each night. You see some really crazy stuff at the beach man.
