1000cc's is a lot for a beginner.

your going to hate yourself when you lay it down.

and you will lay it down.

buy a beater bike to learn on before you step up to a 1000cc bike.

600cc is a good beater bike. they can be had cheap and you can find one thats already been laid down. I started out on a 125cc dirt bike and I dont know how but I havent laid it down...yet...lol. just a lot of wet grass "oh shits!" and maintained balance. I thought I was dead.

I have been riding over three years. This guy is right... You wont believe the number of people i have seen lay down their first bike or there tenth bike!!!...If you have never rode before i suggest even lower than a 600cc....get the little ninja 250 or a dirtbike. Trust me, a 600 will come off the ground in third with a power commander, full exhaust, cam, and other minor bolt ons...If you have never rode before and you clutch it wrong one time, you will either go for one hell of a ride or dump the shit out of the bike!

My next bike will be a yamaha R1, but i have been on 1000cc bikes many times. My dad has a cbr1000RR. Just step up. Start small and go big...hell you can have all the fun you want to on a 600cc...Most people go bigger for bragging rights anyway! LOL

honda bikes are good bikes, but don't get a 1000cc bike for your first one, you will lay it down so fast it will make your head spin

Ya know I really haven’t read much of the post; but I’d rather have a sister working in a Dodge factory than a “distant relative” owing a Honda.

my bro has an 05 honda cbr 600rr tribal edition and its been layed down twice by him and twice by my brother. and i can tell you what. its the first bike ive ever ridden and i couldnt imagine riding a bike with anymore power than that my first time. still id be scared right now to ride a 1000cc bike. a young kid like yourself + a fast bike = real freaking expensive insurance. bike insurance isnt cheap man. i dont want to read of you dieing because you had to much bike to handle. just within the past few weeks about 10 bikers in my area have died. the season begins. be careful man.
