Yep, I'm officially out for this season unless by some stroke of luck I find a wealthy individual that has nothing better to spend his/her money on than me. I pulled the motor last night and disassembled everything today to get it ready to head off to Charlie at The Race Shop. 5 valves hit pistons, 2 valves are bent for sure and possibly 3. The heads are cracked severely between the valves and minor cracking across the spark plug area. 1 cylinder had a bunch of oil in it and another had a bunch of coolant in it. The way the car ran you would have never known it. I'd post pictures but I'm too pissed off to even look at it right now. Probably not that big of a deal, but after spending more than $8000 on this car already this year it is a very big deal. What gets me is how the car went as fast as it did with the engine in this rough of shape. I guess that explains why I couldn't get a whole lot of mile an hour out of it. People running similar ETs are going a few mph faster than I was. Maybe its time for a Chevy engine.....

damn, that does suck. I'd hate to see a chevy motor in it, but hey a motor is a motor. good luck with the whole process
