So here's another thread where anyone who wants to can talk about the movie and how much they liked/disliked it. 'Nuff said.

I really liked how the movie started especially with the first Goblin fight. I though Harry played the revenge part really well even though he obviously couldn't back it up with an effective a**-kicking. After that, though, I think the movie went downhill for a while.

I mean, come on, a symbiote that needs a host to live just sits in Peter's apartment and waits a week for the right dramatic moment to bond itself? I would have been all over the first living thing I found.

Black suit Spidey was really well done (I think) but black suit Peter wasn't. They changed him from a pissed off guy with more power than he knew how to handle to an emo kid who wants the rest of the world to "suffer." He had the dress (although always wearing black is justifiable as a simple visual clue for the audience), he had the attitude, he had the hair, all he was really missing was a knife and suicide attempt scars.

And what was with the scene in MJs Jazz club? Apparently alien life forms give people jazz improv skills and dance moves. The backhand across MJs face was funny though... I've never heard any theater say "OOOOOOOOOHHHH!" louder than at that point.

I got the feeling about halfway through the movie that they took on more than they could deliver. After a while I felt that the Sandman storyline was pretty superfluous and the movie would have been much better if they took it out entirely and focused on Venom and Peter's relationship with Harry. Develop Spidey's greatest villain a bit more and let the Wings mechanic have his own storyline some other time.

Enough complaining.

The fight scenes and everything post-Venom-creation made the movie a great experience. Everything was really well done and the storylines tied up nicely. I did laugh when the battle lines went from one good guy and three villains to two heroes, one antihero, and one ball of flame. Everybody wins! Except Eddie Brock... He never wins...

All in all a great movie that I'll probably see a second time, download, and put it on my PSP to watch when I'm bored at work.

yea pete really did look emo as hell, when he slicked his hair down like that, that's the first thing i thought "emo" -.- lol

i liked when he was struttin downt he street tho.. lol girls were EVERY FREAKIN WHERE.. show me a city wit mad hotties like that.. im movin right now.. and they were all lookin at him like hes retarded and shit lol

i think the jazz scene was hot tho, he started dancin all over he had everyone doin the finger snap wit him lol.. kinda reminded me of old jazz movies. then he owned those bouncers, shit was hot

but all the fight scenes were definitely hot as hell, esp the first one wit the goblin

on a scale of 1-10, id give it an 8.5.. simply because the fight scenes were taht hot!! and bad pete is jus cool (yes emo and all)
