dude i put mine in neutral last night comin home from work, and i went to put it back in drive, i was probably going like 35 i guess, anyways i hit it when i went to reach for and it went into reverse, luckily i just yanked it back to drive, but that was the worst feeling in my life, my stomack even cramped when i did it, so yeh just dont even try to put it in neutral.

what if you put your car in neutral, rev it to around 5k, then drop it into drive, is that bad for your car?

You know what I hate doing? Forgetting you put it in neutral and then trying to take off, I usually lean forward a little bit in anticipation of the car starting to move, but it doesn't... then you feel and look like an idiot to anyone who's sitting beside you at the light.

i can picture myself sitting at a redlight and when it turns green, i look over at the dude in the other car and he's leaning forward thinking "go go gadget car!" and he has this worried look on his face cause his car wont move

damn 2000si, thanks for that awesomely funny mental image

Nah I don't get worried about it, but I just feel stupid when I do it. I've done it several times at pick up windows. Whats worse is when I'm driving my truck and I forgot I put it in park. lol

I don't think I lean all that far forward, I just tend to brace myself for the 'jolt' of when you start out just as the clutch grabs.
