Court case yesterday

Well I mentioned about the reckless driving ticket that I got a month ago. Well when I went to court I did all that fun stuff...metal detector, docket board, meeting with the attorney, and finding out I got one of the crotchety old judges that would not be to keen on dismissing the case. Well I was extremely nervous since this was a class 1 misdemeanor, and I was wrongfully charged. This is a judge who gave someone a fine of $77 for throwing a ciggarette butt out of window. Well I approached the bench extremely nervous. I thought I was going to throw up. Pled not guilty and then the officer say her part. Well when she did her story just fell apart. She said I was in a 45 and everyone thought it was a 50. She was right. The one cop in the city of chesapeake that knows that when you turn left from Volvo onto Battlefield is 45 mph. Well the judge even thought it was 50. She also forgot about a white van that was infront of me, and her story just fell apart. Well when the verdict came...it came like this.

DISMISSED!!! I was so relieved to have it dismissed, and to know that my record is still clean as can be. Now just need to get the charge exsponged.

Awesome! Reminds me of how I felt at 16 going to court for misdemeanor window tint violations (over 8 of stops, 2 tickets). I was the 2nd-to-last case presented and was dismissed because of a medical exam signed by a doctor saying I had "Photophobia" (the fear of light).

Did you get to hear other cases? I had a black kid in my court room who was 13 years old and got caught for his second time stealing cars, then stealing gas and fleeing from the police. They ruled he was to go to juvinile jail, and his mom needed to hand over all his information (which she conveniently left at the house) so her 13 year old juvinile delinquent got handcuffed and scurtted to the holding room for 2 hours until his mom got back from 2 counties away with some important personal documents!

No, I didn't get to hear any other court cases, but let me tell you what...there are a whole lot of new warrents for arrest since a bunch of people didn't show up. Saw my ex girlfriends mom there, a guy in one of my classes, and a girl who used to be in my marine bio class last year. That's really gonna help out my schools reputation.

Nice job with the clean record, congratulations.

AB, do you really have photophobia, or a really nice doctor?
Also, what does the SCT(I think) emblem on your car stand for?

In all actuality, my mom works for a dentist office whose best high school buddy is an eye doctor... put two and two together- photophobia equals four

2) SCT is Superchips Tuning. The emblem came with my XCal 2 and added at least 25 rwhp :wink

Smooth one there AB. That was actually one of the best days of my life. Ended up goin to Mcdonalds afterwards cuz once he said dismissed I got really hungry. They put the mlkshake I got in a larger cup than they were suppossed to, and then gave me a extra thing of large fries for free.
