i drive upwards of 100 miles a day. and when driven right wrx's get awesome gas mileage. right now im getting 19 hwy mileage. ill get about 30+ with a wrx and still be able to run a stock gt. and with the money im spending it wouldnt be worth getting a better mustang. all i would be able to afford is a gt. if i were to go v8 i would def get a trans am

I am not being rude or anything, I just think you will regret it...Remember that GT you drove and how you were so stoked about for days after, well you won't have that same feeling with the wrx...yeah they might be fun little cars, but i think you will be kickin yourself in the but in a year...

Hell why dont you go with a WS6? Those are badass!

Anyway, good luck with the new ride man. Make sure you stick around here. Who else would we hate on? j/k

no, The STI is the one that hangs with GT's. The WRX has a 2.0L turbo engine producing 227HP while the WRX STI has a 2.5L turbo engine producing 300hp.

they arent too bad 202.5 AWHP 198.1 AWTQ, runs 14.4 stock in the 1/4, thats what a stock 99-04 gt runs, well estimated. it also goes 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and the gt does it in 5.8 seconds. sounds like a drivers race to me guys.... they also can get to 300+ AWHP easily. i drive a shitload and right now its really burning a hole in my pocket. i want a good fast DD. but dont worry guys. dont think im leaving mustangs. my brother and i are going to start a project fox. and today i took his 07 gt to a local mustang performance shop and they are installing a zex 75 wet shot nitrous system. and its gonna be hidden his car is stock except for the nitrous so definete sleeper.

ill stick around here. these are my favorite forums since ocforums.com

an sti will rape a stock 99-04 gt. and with a tuner and turbo back exhaust a wrx will walk over a gt...
just be glad im getting a good import its not like im getting a freaking integra type r! lol

ive done my research and my friend in a modded gt raced a stock wrx and beat him but not horribly. maybe a few lengths.

I like subaru's, Its just that the stock WRX won't compare to a STI. .5liter difference, and the transmission gearing is surely different.

ya definelty they sti is far better than the wrx. but i get what i can afford. only bad thing ive heard of subbies is their glass trannies. gotta treat em well or they will shit out on you. i defintely would want to put an sti wing on it, i think the wrx one is ugly but the sti one is freaking sexy. i usually hate big wings but it fits perfect on an impreza.

30 mpg with a WRX? I don't recall seeing it break anything over 25 on the window stickers. I used to drive by the Subaru dealer religiously and harass the salesmen about them.
