Just ordered a Canon Digital Rebel XT

Does anyone here own one of these cameras? If so, how do you like it? What are it's shortcomings if any? I'm new to digital SLRs, used to plain old point and shoots.

I always liked photography, and the fact that I own quite a few websites and plan on experimenting with getting into the 'adult' website business doesn't hurt. Hell, my girlfriend is encouraging my idea of a 'butt naked women with guns' website. I've got the guns, I've got the camera, now all I need is the women

I'm sure I'll be testing it out by taking pics of my car... even with the freshly cracked/dented rear bumper.

i've heard the canon digital slr's are off the hook. I have a canon sd630 point and shoot...and it has so many different macros for different shots, it's nuts. It's like it is a point and shoot, but it's not at the same time. The 3'' LCD is also pretty nice

Yep, I've heard nothing but good things about them. Come Monday, I'll find out!

Only problem with SLRs is that they are way more of a money sink than point and shoots. Lenses, etc will kill you.

For now I've just got the 18-55mm that I ordered it with, and I also ordered a macro lens kit for some nice closeup action.
