Damn, my eyes were watering! Great post. I wish i was half the man that guy is. Most people just give up when they have kids that have problems. I just posted that up on my local site...I will see what they think of it too.

Wow. Good sh*t Steven and thank you for posting that. *sniffle sniffle*

Definitely could use a few more good people like that in the world eh?

That was one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever read/seen/heard of in my life. Simply amazing. And that part about having clogged arteries and having done all that for his son actually helped save his life? All I have is, WOW! That's awesome.

My best friend was paralyzed from the waist down a little over a year ago...Nowhere near as bad as this guy. My friend got 18 years with using his whole body, and got a full ride to play soccer, then was paralyzed our last year of highschool. A couple months from graduation.
It sucks because we all go play soccer and he plays goalie all the time. I mean at least he gets some fun.

I will say it again, that is the best thing i have seen in a long while

Sorry to hear that Tony.

Maybe 4 years ago, when I was still living with my mom, our neighbors were out bicycling with their 2 little girls and son, Zack. Well on our RESIDENTIAL road of 25mph some 20 year old in his p.o.s. acura had to have been doing a good 45, hopped up onto the curb, and struck the entire family while on their bikes... during the DAY! Turns out he was on cocaine and marijuana, with a blood alcohol content of .11 WHAT A FUCKER. Dad was okay. Mom sprained an ankle. One daughter had scratches. Other daughter broke a leg. Poor Zack, who was I want to say 11 or 12 years old... paralized. Quadraplegic. Just like that an entire family's lives, ruined.

4 Years later he has miraculously regained partial use of his arms and legs, doctors have no idea how. With a lot of help and two custom made arm-lenth canes he is able to stand upright. He is 15 now (roughly) but sadly has the mental capacity of a preschooler, but his words are starting to form and he can recall some memories of his childhood. It's heartwarming to see the progress he is making, and how horrible that must have been for that poor family. Our entire neighborhood was in tears then. PLEASE DO NOT SPEED... EVER. Unless it's on a track, no good will ever come from it. I know a lot of you think 5 over is safe for you, but just think about this story, I beg of you. After all, it is called a speed LIMIT, not minimum.

Not to sidetrack this thread any, sorry if I did, but I had to share. That movie hit home for me, in a way, and I absofrigginlutely love hearing those makeyafeelgood kind of stories.

Oh and that douche bag that hit my neighbors is still locked up. Will be for years to come. Amen to that.

That dude is either a saint or an angel! That was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. I have 2 daughters 6 and 9 and as much as I love them, I probly wouldnt be physically able to do any of that. That guy is as strong mentally as he is physically to do all that.

im glad to hear that fucking idiot is still locked up. but that wont change what happened to the family. i never ever speed in the neighborhoods. way too many kids riding bikes or what have you. and i hate when im going to the speed limit in the neighborhood and people give me mean looks and one time this douche yelled at me and told me i needed to slow down. yet i was going 25.... whatever. douches come in all shapes and sizes and no, im not talking about just bags.
