You know what the odd part of your whole trying to insult my car is?

a. They're as fast as each other stock for stock in a straight line.
b. They're as fast as each other stock for stock in a corner.
c. I will still, and will always, get better gas mileage than you.
d. You paid 17k for a Ford V6 Mustang which is now worth probably about 13k one year later. Don't even get me started on Ford having massive amounts of quality issues that you will eventually learn of by the time the car reaches 80k miles.

Um... ALL cars are bad investments. Aside from classics and rarities a car will NEVER appreciate in value.


And when you get that V6 engine to push out 400 hp on nothing more than bolt ons - I want to see that dyno.

No, Cams aren't bolt ons. Oh and no, stroking/boring the engine block is not a bolt on either.

Nothing wrong with a sixer, I use to own a 98' v6 but never drove it on acount of it being to badly fubarred to repair. Then I got my 5.0 which with a few mods will have the balls of a new edge v6.

But yeah there are a shit load of Mustangs where I live and guess what theres only one of them that aint a sixer besides me and its a new edge GTR. Oh and 80% of the Mustangs around here are chick owned and keep in mind that all but two of those Mustangs are v6's. Not saying the v6 is a chick car, but a lot of chicks do drive them.

Turn into a real asshole?...sweetheart you are already there...funny thing is you spend alot of time defending your car to me...and you proved my point exactly...I beat an "experienced" driver (I no longer run novice) in a stock SI with my STOCK mustang...If you knew anything about autoX you would know you run in classes with cars similar to yours...so the Honda Civic SI runs in the same class as the Mustang V6...Better driver/better car: either way I beat him. I haven't made any modifications to my car yet. Yes stock for stock our cars are very similar...my point which you obviously missed was that I'd rather be in a mustang...and as far as you reiterating...I don't believe my response to Jucostud had anything to do with you...nor did it require your response.

I call BS on the 29-32 mpg. I've heard that v6's aren't much better than the GT's and the best i've ever gotten is 24. And a full bolt on V6 can't be much more than 300HP. I don't even think the GT can get 400hp with full bolt-ons.

I came in here looking for info on what kinds of cars to scope out while prowlin' for hotties. But instead, I get a bunch of RC an Si screamin' 'bout who's car gets better fuel economy. What the hell?!?!

I personally think the V6 'Stang is a car for the people that like/love the Mustang, but don't want or can't afford the GT insurance. IMO, The 3.8 6er is a worldclass TURD. The new 4.0 is a bad mofo with some bolt-ons. Ford did a FANTASTIC job on the S197 styling and finally coming off the 15yr old technology they had been using. Kudos to them.

As far as some of the others on here's lists'. Get off the Imports. I have had 3 different Eclipses. 2first Gens and a 3rd gen. For the confused, the 1st gen is 90-94. The 3rd is 00-05. My 03 was looked upon as a "chic" car till I started moddin' it. Then, that perception changed after a few "hot laps" thru the twisties.
Look at the Fusion from Ford. The Cavilier from Chevy. How bout a Sebring? OK. Good. Chic cars IMO. But then, what the hell do I know? I just drive a V8 Fox....

Jucostud...when you are on the hwy in 5th hit reset on your gas mileage...you'll see a big change then...what you are seeing right now is the average with all kinds of driving but you can get decent gas mileage on the hwy...when I get back to fl I'll show you...but try that and tell me what happens.

as far as the hp goes...you'd be surprised the 4.0 in the V6 is a bad ass motor...its a good car to dump some money into to make fast...that is all I meant.
