Soooo, I'm scheduled to get a biopsy on October 7th.

It's for my mouth. The dentist found a "lump" on my tongue, and the entire side of my tongue is destroyed.. Skin is tearing, black/blue/white spots.

I'm a bit nervous. I called my mom and told her they are just corpsman and don't know too much about what they're talking about, but that's only because I don't know how to tell her that I'm 21 with a chance of having cancer in my mouth...

Looks like this is what it took to make me quit dipping and smoking.

Advice, please?

the dentist found the lump? before you did?

i had a lump on the roof of my mouth. it ended up being cancer. i never dipped or smoked though.

the biopsy won't be too bad. not sure how it works in the military, but they gave me nitrous oxide to cut mine out.

i hope it's not cancer, but if it is, rest assured that i can tell you everything there is to know about having mouth cancer, and that there is hope.

It's on the side of my tongue, so I figured I just had an ulcer or bit my tongue or something. I didn't think it's be cancerous.

Hopefully the biopsy comes back negative or nothing is far along, because if I have to take certain medicines I'll lose my clearance. =/

i have a lump on my lip.. idk why it's there, have never dipped, and i don't smoke cigarettes or anything. So idk what it is. best of luck with your biopsy man, hope it goes well.

Why would you lose clearance if you have to take medicine? Not permanently, right? That's just so weird..

I don't know there reasons. I was told it would only be a temporary loss because they wouldn't trust me with what I'm training to do while on a "mind altering substance". Not sure what that means, but it wouldn't be marijuana..
