Yeah im not a fan... I work on these things every day, and know how cheaply they are made... I wouldn't own one... I love seeing how many people trade them in after they realize how bad of a DD they are, they usually realize when they have to put tires and brakes on them after the first year of owning it...

The deal breaker with the Challenger is the poor visibility. Those short windows and huge pillars mean you can't see shit. I took a test drive and there are just too many blind spots.

The Mustang is the only new muscle car with decent visibility. That said, the Challenger looks totally badass. And the Charger looks like shit. Dodge dropped the ball. The Challenger is without question way too big, too. The old ones looked lean and mean. The new ones look mean and bloated.

my dad just got a 2009 srt8 challenger earlier this year for a dd, and i dont care what anyone says i LOVE them. they are so comfortable, smooth driving, and they shift like butter all while looking badass

Since Chrysler has a major plant here, I get to see a ton of special edition cars around here. There is one Charger sitting in the overflow lot, waiting to ship out, a Mopar Edition--all black from front to back, with a deep blue stripe going down the body... Drive by it twice a day, to and from work. It. Is. Sexy.

I think a lot of it had to do with impact regulations. To get the desired ratings everyone had to raise up the body lines and make wider pillars for accidents. Unfortunately what they did to protect you in an accident makes you more likely to get in one.

I also didn't like the ergonomics of it. New Dodge interiors feel kind of cheap, and they don't really fit you. Some of the early 2000's weren't bad, but lately the interiors have been horrific. It was kind of smooth.

Contrast that with the Mustang and it's no competition. The Mustang has outstanding visibility, has an interior that feels like a cockpit, and honestly shocked me to see how smooth it was.

Hell yes. I absolutely loved the sedan, and I finally saw a coupe the other day. Looks mean as hell. It still has a raw muscle feel to it though. You're wrapped in luxury (but not over the top, very tasteful) and it feels like a Corvette. If I needed a car and not a truck, it would be on the top of the list.

Definitely. A big block Mustang would be the day, but with today's emissions reguatlions and fuel costs I don't see it happening.
