Was ripped clean off my fucking car today while i was driving in Portsmouth, NH. Its about 2 towns over from mine. They are doing road work and the sewer covers were raised because of the pavement they were finishing up. So i swerved the first one and i was ok, then this meatcake in a SUV speeds up next to me so i cant do it again, and i stop and try to wait for people to get out of the lane next to me..... but there is a long line of traffic. So i am doing like 1 mph.... and WHAM is all i hear. Im bullshit right now. I try to take off after this dick speeds by me, i get out and i start yelling randomly and i look under my car and see my right side tail pipe bent in half and its stuck around my axle. The muffler is sitting under my diff cover and just dragging. SO i get up swearing like crazy and this ladie and man are holding my other muffler and tail pipe. I say thanks and i run out in the middle of the road where this cock sucker cop is and i start yelling at him ( Im on a cycle of test right now ) and he is like...calm down... blah blah blah. Im like dude, this fucking road work youre doing just ripped my entire catback off my car. All he tells me if i should call the town and see what i can do.... Are you kidding me. So i called my buddy to get my jack and socket set. I ripp the rest off the axle and i start it up and its sooooo loud and annoying. But i didnt really care i just ripped back up the highway and drove back home. Im gonna go take a picture of it so you can all cry with me......

There isn't much that I hate more than anything when something happens to you that was out of your control and was not in anyway your fault but you are still the victim. I would be ranting quite a bit right now.

I'm pretty sure you could just make some new piping and buy the one new muffler though. You shouldn't need a WHOLE new catback.

Ouch man. Did you file some kind of report with the cop there? The city may not believe what happened unless it is either on film, with 2 witnesses, or on a police report. Good luck with a new cat back and compensation.

Probably will get you no where but I would take pics of the location where it occured and then pics of your damage catback and call the city. They will probably refer you to the contractor who is completing the work but you may be able to get some $ out of them. It all depends on how valuable your time is.

I get more and more frusterated with every fucking monkey that calls me back. I call them once and i tell them.... first ladie tells me its her first day but will have someone call me back. Next person calls me and asks me where i got hit? Im like... i didnt get hit. I hit the sewer cover.... Ok. Let me get someone to call you back.... and still nothing. So im waiting again.

Its just bullshit. If i would have stopped and waited for the people to get out of the other lane, the meatcake behind me would have kept honking and i would have got out and beat his faggot ass. So i just decided to go over it... bad idea.

So just like last year im just gonna let it sit because i dont have the time to play around with it.... and im not gonna drive it. I cant just get some piping and a muffler. Both mufflers are fucked. And the only thing i could save was one tail pipe.

I was looking under it best i could due to it being low and i cant really see under it that well... i now notice that i can fit 4 of my fingers between tire and wheel well on right side and only one finger under left side. So now im pretty sure something with the suspension is fucked as well.

I was talking to a parts guy at my work that used to be a trooper. He told me nothing i can do because the sewer covers were painted orange and there were road signs saying road work ahead. I dont fucking care if there was a Monkey in a jump suite pointing out every single sewer cover. the point is..... i had no way around it. So what am i supposed to do... let the person behind me keep honking because he couldnt get in the other lane to go around me either. So it would have cause me to flip out and make things even worse.

I dunno..... i'll post back when i hear something from the city.
