Perfect example: I have a friend who last year wanted to sell his F150 and buy a GT, We found one in Dallas for 10,800 5speed with 18" cobra rims. I asked him why a GT and his reply was "I just want a fast car" I found an LS1 z28 on autotrader for 7,500$ and told him he should test drive that also. He drove the z28, and went to test drive the GT. Safe to say we left dallas with the z28, and now it runs 12.9s on junk street tires with only exhaust - No GT will do that

umm u can get a base-model 2.3 hatch, swap in a turbo, upgrade the suspension and axle, upgrade the turbo itself, get some cool rims for it, hook up the interior, and go faster than an LS1 or a cobra for less than wut it wud cost to buy either

ID LOVE to have a fast car but i would much rather prefer a stang over an fbody anyday. it might take more work and money to make a gt faster but it looks a hell of alot better.

i hate to promote Chevy like this because i will never own one but my friend did the same comparison, he test drove a GT that was priced around 16 and a z28 for 3k less with the same miles on it and he bought the z28 cause of the power. But i would go for the GT or Cobra in a heartbeat im a die hard Ford fan

i know you lose value by taking the stripes off but ive seen the car that hes getting and its beautiful the way it is. It used to be my brother in laws. But lets face it the stripes on those looked terrible so he just left them off when he fixed it up.
