Grammar is grammar. There isn't much difference in misspelling a word and destroying the proper use of the English language.

I totally agree, and in my opinion turning "I'm" into "im" is obliterating. One isn't a word anymore, it's missing capitalization and a punctuation mark. I'm just pushing your buttons, I don't really care enough about orthography on the internet to actually bust someone on anything. As long as I can read it, I will say nothing. You're right though, spelling is the most heinous offense; it makes reading anything nearly impossible.

the people i speak of are not intentionally spelling words wrong, their lack of education is disturbing

I don't know lol it's pretty easy for me, I can use proper grammar at anytime, it just depends on whether I feel the situation is necessary or appropriate to structure my sentences correctly
