I was looking at a stock 00 GT with 10k miles for $10k, but its out of my budget

So i was thinking about this, 2002 MUSTANG

Don't really want to buy an abused car. Opinions?

Run a carfax.

Just bc it's modded doesn't mean it's abused. It's just more likely.

Gotta go see it to truly know.

damn... i want that car dude. that thing looks sweet actually. from what i can tell its true blue (same color as my old 01) and around here i never saw another TB gt. I'd jump on that in a heart beat dude.

looks like a nice car, but honestly....that '00 gt with only 10k miles might be worth saving for a little bit.

Shitty pics are shit.

CL pics suck. You would have to go see it. The miles are a little lower then usual for around here. (between 5 and 20k less miles)

I say go take a look and get a test drive.

Car seems to be tastefully modded for both performance and looks, so I would guess the owner takes car of it. Test drive

Yeah im gonna plan on test drive, And the other car i was talking about, I visited him and it was in the most sketchy place. Still considering both

10 grand for 10k would be a great pick up , but the other one doesnt look bad at all either. It priced good and has a long list of mods, I'm sure it was beat some but if someone put that much time into their car they probably take good care of it deffinitly check it out.

Haha been there. Before I bought my Mach I went to look at a 96 SVT in some town I never heard of, ended up being the ghetto. The "dealership" was a house semi converted into a business, and the Cobra was stored in a garage with what seemed to be a random assortment of stolen goods

...that's what has me questioning it. Must he sell it due to legal action and illegal activity in the car? because his parents said he had to sell it? because it has a rod knock and he knows it's going to grenade soon? or because he has a baby on the way so he must let his pride and joy go for a more family-suited vehicle? Simply saying "must sell" leaves me skeptical.

very good point on the "must sell" term. Some times its used a little loosely. Although on my CL add, i listed why i needed to sell it. Then some ass hole replied saying quit bitching and putting your life drama out on CL.

I simply said must sell, have a baby on the way, and the wife wants an suv.

If I read an ad and I see "I really enjoy this car and care for it but due to having a baby on the way and a need for a more family oriented vehicle, I must let her go." that tells me, this person actually cared for this car and didn't want to get rid of it and is only doing so because it is necessary and not because they need to get out of a bad situation. I respect descriptive ads much more.

Sweet car OP. Buying an un abused GT is impossible to find unless you buy it straight off the assembly line.
