People did shit like this long before GTA came out. Nowadays, video games have become an excuse and a scapegoat for stupid actions. Years ago people blamed music (rock 'n' roll) for making people do "bad" things, now all of a sudden everyone blames video games. They don't say, however, that these people weren't taught common sense growing up (or maybe they didn't listen)... which is why they have to learn "for every action there is a reaction" the hard way.
