4G LTE is AWESOME!!

Anyone else on Verizon's 4G LTE?

LTE just came to my town 2 weeks ago, my wife needed a new phone, and we got her a Droid Bionic. LTE is the shit. Did a couple speed tests and they were all around 15 down/8 up. That's a little bit faster than my home internet. This shit is awesome and I'm thinking about dropping my home internet all together.

The only downside that I see so far is that is sucks the battery dry quicker than a $5 whore.

your lte went up the same time mine did and your getting the same speeds i am. its farking awesome. its going to be so much faster once they get it all going and start turning up the speed. the battery drain yea that sucks but god its fun lol

i live in a hick town and hate it. all i can get is att high speed so 6mb down it is. the lte dont reach here yet but once it does the 12-15mb i can get there will make me think about paying the mobile hot spot price from verizon for the double speed lol

Actually, in the near future you'll see speeds drop rather than go up. The main reason it's so fast right now is because of the lack of network usage. Once more people start jumping on the bandwagon your speeds will actually go down.

However, the whole point of LTE (Long Term Evolution) is that the network is much more easily expandable, unlike their 3g network which had a narrow operating range. The current LTE network is expandable to up to ~100mb/s, so over the next 5-10 years you will see some serious speed increases

verizon is shooting for nation wide covereage in 2013 so that more towers for more people making less demand per tower so speeds should stay close to same and then increase as demand and competition goes up
