idiots at ford service department could have killed me
Alright, so I took my car in to the dealership because it wouldn't start and it has a warranty so I figured why not. I got it back and everything was fine. About a week later I'm driving on the highway and started taking the exit turn. The car just shut off completely. Lost power steering and power brakes while taking a turn at about 30. I managed to get to the end just fine and the car started back up without any issues so I didn't think anything of it. Well the next day my stepmom told me my car was leaking oil so I popped the hood to check the levels. And ill be damned if there wasn't a rubber hose stuck up in belt system. How stupid can you be to leave something like that right in the middle of the belt system? I don't know if yall see this as I do, but if that car had shut off while taking a slightly sharper turn and the steering went out like it did, I very well could have died. Not to mention my fiance was in the car with me. I just wanted to share this with yall so be careful and watch out what dealerships will do!

I work in the automotive industry, and as much as it sucks, accidents do happen. It's not like he did it on purpose. When you work with hundreds of cars a week with hundreds is little details, something is bound to be forgotten.
Like I said I know it sucks... but these things do happen. It's not something that only happens at dealerships, it's something that happens at every shop. That's why I ALWAYS suggest looking over whatever part of your car was serviced BEFORE leaving the dealership or even starting your car. That way if something did get screwed up, they can't try to turn it against you. |

wow a little over dramatic much.
if your not capable of driving the car if the power steering goes out suddenly or knowing how to handle the car if it shuts off on its own without killing yourself you probably should stay away from automobiles in general |

I knew how to handle it just fine which is why my car isn't in a ditch right now. I'm just saying that could have happened if someone less experienced had been driving the car. That's a really big mistake to make. I guess I should have specified I was thinking of the worst case that could have happened. Excuse me for not specifying. And I'm not being a smart ass.

Yea dude shit happens. Also i doubt that hose just sat there in the belt system or he placed it there. It may have have been set on something and just rolled into the belts.
I mean shit happens man. Also power steering and brakes are for pussys. Drivers ed cars should have no a/c, no heat, no power steering, no power brakes and no power mirrors or windows and be a manual. People rely to much on luxuries My old mirage was like that. I loved it. it was also missing carpet and a radio. It was pretty much a tin can with wheels
