MM 2011 Holiday Care Packages for the Troops!

MM Family,

It is that time of year again. Its time to show our troops we CARE!!! Last year we had an outstanding response from MM in contributing to care packages for the military members stationed overseas. the holiday season is a time of the year when the military members sacrifice for defending out freedoms. Even if all you can spare is $5, please send it. I will handle all the funds via paypal. Every dime that is donated will be used in the care packages as well as getting them sent to the military members. I will update this post as often as needed once the donations have been received. If you would like to send actual products for the care packages instead of donations, they will be accepted also.

----------------------------------------

To give some background on this, we have done this every years since i believe 2009 With everything included, we were able to raise over $700 for the care packages last year alone!!!

----------------------------------------

A little background info on myself. I've been in the navy for 4.5 years now and have been on 3 deployments. and i assure you this is a stressful time for the boys and girls over seas. and you can rest assured that every dime and ever product no matter how big or small will go directly to helping out our armed forces.

----------------------------------------

IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS FAMILY OR YOU YOURSELF ARE DEPLOYED PM ME THE ADDRESS AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO GET A PACKAGE OUT TO YOUR SOLDIER/SAILOR/MARINE

----------------------------------------
WE HAVE CURRENTLY COLLECTED$747

lWE DID IT!!!!!! HUGE THANKS TO EVERYONE AT MODDEDMUSTANGS FOR THE DONATIONS!!!!!

LETS TRY TO HIT $800 AND MAKE THIS HELL FOR WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE NEXT YEAR LOL!!!!!

-----------------------------------------
Please PayPal any donations to mackin_marc07@yahoo.com

If you would like to send items, please read below.

I'DE LIKE TO GET ALL ITEMS BY 01JAN2012

As with last year, the care packages may not arrive on time for the holidays. I want to keep this open as long as possible for everyone to have the chance to donate, so that we can get the men and women overseas the best possible care packages.

----------------------------------------

Hey guys.

Some of you may remember, I was deployed to Afghanistan in late 2009 to the middle of 2010. I got a package from MM and i've got to tell you, it helped out more than you could imagine. Even the little stuff makes a big difference. I can't thank you guys enough.

A couple of pointers when picking out things to buy:

Send phone cards!!! they have them at wal mart. Get the AT&T ones...

Get the off-brand stuff....we couldn't care less if our toothpaste said "Safeway" on it rather than "Colgate", because it's 5,000 times better than not having it at all. you can buy twice as many off-brand stuff for the same amount you would spend on name brand

Razors are awesome, don't forget shaving cream.

Snacks are great, i.e. gummy bears, beef jerky, sunflower seeds.

Individual drink powder mixes like crystal light, kool aid, etc.

RED BULL

Car, Gun, and Girl (appropriate) magazines!

Try not to put anything in there that might leak or break open.

hope this helps. It's so awesome that you guys care.

P.S. Marcus, be sure not to send packages to "Any Marine" or "Any Soldier" followed by the unit's address. You have to put the troop's actual name, even if the package is for anybody in the unit that needs supplies. They will not deliver the package to the service member in fear of it possibly being terroristic.

Marcus,

We would love to participate again this year!
Please check your PMs and get back to me when you can!

As a brother of someone who has completed several deployments, I can say that this is really a great thing to do and we couldn't be more pleased to be contributing!

Do you already have a list of people you are sending packages to Marcus?

I am currently on the 22nd MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) in Africa, covering all the latest happenings in Libya / Yemen. Thats really about all I can tell ya. But we all really appreciate it, and every little thing helps morale over here, and on every front. Been a marine since 2003, and been deployed 6 times so far between afgan iraq and here. Really appreciate everyones support. We don't care if you support the 'war', but at least support the troops!
