Cannot remember the last time I was this sick....

I woke up this morning and threw up twice, could barely swallow, was shaking pretty violently because I had chills so bad, and could barely stand. It literally hit me over night.

I went to the Doctor today (which is how you know its usually an issue, because I hate going to the doctor) and she told me it was both Strep and the Flu. I had a 102 fever this morning. I got a shot from her and my fever is down to 100.6 right now but Jesus Christ is this awful. I cannot swallow or breathe, it hurts to move, I get extremely hot and then freezing, I haven't kept anything down all day. I cannot remember ever being this sick.

What a great Thanksgiving Break from school. Woot...

I also worked a 7-5 shift tomorrow and I really could use the money and hours...I guess I won't be getting it.

Sorry to vent, I just have nothing to do and my computer and TV are the only things keeping me company.

I feel your pain, NoCo. I am home off work this week with a stomach virus. Yesterday was the worst my gut has been in a long time... my wife wanted to take me to the hospital in the morning but I wouldn't let her. It was coming out both ends, and my stomach was absolutely killing me.

I kept sipping on Gatorade to stay hydrated, and later in the afternoon I was able to keep some dry toast down. It sucks ass.

...call her(your doctor) and ask for some hydrocodo, pain killers and valum or something.

I really need this time on this paycheck too, and I reeeeally don't want to dip into savings just to buy groceries because of something like this. Blagh.

And Pain, no kicking kittens here. A cuddly kitten might help me right now though.

I hope both of you get better soon. Thanksgiving is a time for food and football !! I was cleaning out some stuff in our barn a few weeks ago and got bit by a damn brown recluse !! I went to Urgent Care and Dr said " yeah... brown recluse. You'll be ok. " He gave me some pills and that was it.
