I'm not ruling anything out, I merely noted originally that the car is limited and there are reasons (many of which you outlined) that going above that limiter is a recipe for hardware failure since it's unlikely that the car was designed to sustain the abuse going 135mph will create. Ultimately, it's the responsibility of the driver to take into consideration that the parts on the car may not have been designed for top speed runs. I'm not taking my girlfriend's Honda to 135, not because it was limited to something lower, but because it's not designed to be abused that way. The V6 is not the performance Mustang and treating it like one without care for the fact that the parts are not rated to stand up to the abuse is irresponsible. Even if Ford cheaped out on the driveshaft, they put a limiter on the car with the intent to prevent people from abusing that part (among others, obviously).

Taking a car above the limiter without ensuring that the parts are up to snuff is stupid regardless of the car or the reasons why the limiter is put in place.

I understand that shit like this happens but why do people put it on youtube? Like the video with the guy ejecting his clutch in his neon, why did he put the video online? I just dont get it...
