I am in the same situation only I am the oldest and its my little brother my mom always sticks up for and babies...But it is what it is dude...You cant let it eat you alive...

Tempo your mom is showing attention to the baby because its a baby.

One thing I have noticed with my mother is they don't always show how happy they are for you when you do something good. For example when me and my brother put a 911 memorial service together for boy scouts my mom didn't really "show" it meant a good bit to her but while she was talking to others she did nothing but say how proud she is of us for doing it.

Im almost 100% sure your mom is proud of you for being a man and getting your own house and a good looking wife. In-laws like to dislike each other for dumb reasons just ignore your moms dislike for your wife.
