just got home from taking the test i feel good about it and they said i should have results by wednesday. i had an extremely hot girl for my trauma station....somehow i passed it lol

i passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so relieved, i was stressing out for a month over this test but i finally did it. i passed everything my first time around so im proud of myself. now its wait for my emt card to me mailed to me and stat applying for jobs. whoaaaaaaaaaa

Yes lol. I actually just had to drop out of my emt class because of a job change :/

My instructor told us to put on our gloves before we went into the room and "declare" the scene safe (or ask). The only station I failed I forgot to put my gloves on. I realized it after I walked out the door and talked to the test person afterwards. I still have to take that station again. It was just a stupid mistake.

Other than that, the practical is pretty simple. Just run through everything in your head before go in.

I was an EMT-B, but I let it lapse because I didn't realize it was a 2 year cert. I thought it was only one and it had expired the year before. I looked at the card like 2 days before it expired and realized I screwed up. Didn't effect me any because I'm not working for a station.

oh sorry man and i volunteer too lol i love it. honestly practicals i wasnt worried about because i knew my skill sheets by heart. for the written just dont over think it. i always picked to breath for the patinent or control the airway before anything else.
