Not an EMT just basic suggestions.
Read over all the material you will be tested on. Don't spend more than an hour a night. Research has proved studying over an hour a night on one subject will actually decrease your learning abilities. Just be confident and think things through. If your taking the test you must know a bit about EMT work so you should be good. There are some EMT's on the site so shouldn't be long to get many answers. Tiller (till) is an EMT or was an EMT i believe. he hasn't been on in a while but shoot him a PM see if he responds. Ill try and contact him to see if he can help.

and if you are doing NREMT, you should only be doing 3 skill stations total one of those being either medical or trauma assessment.

^This.
When I took my exam we worked in 2 man groups since that's how will be responding to calls... The big thing they stressed when I did it was determining if the situation was a stay and play or load and go. Anything you suspect might be Cardiac is immediate load and go, after you do your size up and chief complaint. Also remember that you can do SAMPLE and DCAP-BTLS en route. You don't have to do it on site. If you've been staying up on practice and reading you'll do just fine. Have you done yuor ride along yet?

If he is already signed up to test, I would imagine that he has done ride time.
Oh and a huge thing that knocks people out, remember scene safe BSI, if you don't include that then you automatically fail.

Im not sure how your test works cause Im NREMT but if its like ours just be sure to take your time, read the question while covering up the answers, try to answer it yourself then look at your choices and see which one is the most correct.

Scene safety and apply o2 pop up quite a bit, those things can sneak past you if you over think the question. Good luck and congrats on making it through the practical.

^ thanks man i was so nervous doing my practicals it was insanse lol. i bought a practice test book and my teacher is letting me use a website he bought so i can practice on it. i took 120 question test the other day and i got 85 right out of 120 which isnt too bad but id like to get 100 or more right. i suck at doing the rule of 9s and the glasgow coma scale so i need to read those chapters again. do you know what the test mostly has for questions?(airways, medical tramua ect)

From my understanding, the test fluctuates from section to section. If you do great on a particular section, then you are done with it and you won't see another question of that type. The rule of 9s is pretty simple and straight forward, front of the body split the torso, pretty much everything but your junk is 9%.
There weren't too many questions about the GCS, so I wouldn't dwell over it.

yeah, just dont overthink it. Its the Basic test, so the most simple answer is usually right. Airway, o2, load and go. simple as that. And if its like the NR test, bullitt is right, the questions increase in difficulty as you answer correctly. Get enough right and youre done.

Don't forget about scene safety and BSI. Those are always first and foremost, and they can slip by you on the test if you aren't paying attention.
