AT&T U-Verse anyone have it??

I am thinking about switching from comcast to U-verse, comcast just pisses me off entirely way to much. Tired of internet going out, tired of my tv shows lagging on a clear sunny day. does anyone here have this?

I have uverse and i love it. I had them a few years ago and dropped them because of the picture quality and my cable boxes kept going out. Since then i went through my house and fixed all of the coax wiring and got uverse again and havent had any problems with them. I love being able to record a show, watch it in one room, then pause it and watch it in a different room.

Yeah, that does seem nice, do you have their internet as well? around here they have a dedicated fiber line for us, if you have the net their is it also capped or no?

Yeah i have the internet through them too. It's not capped in my area at least. I couldnt say if it is where you are though.

The only bad thing is that you can't use your own router for wi-fi. You have to use their residential gateway. Although im sure there are ways around that too I just havent looked.

You rent it, but there are no actual charges for it on the bill. Most likely just included in the price.

Yeah what Craig said. I'm real happy with our U-Verse, for TV and net. The only minor inconvenience was the heavy firewalling that comes on the cisqo router they make you use....it was a bitch to get my Xbox to stay on live without dropping all the time.

I'd recommend.

I was pretty sure there is a cap. I know that DSL has 150gb, and I recall 250gb - figure that is for UV. Course, that's a monthly cap.

Ill have to check at what my usage is....its up there but not as bad as some media hoarders i have seen.
