We finally got snow here in North Dakota, weve gotten a foot since this time last week and this is just the beginning. Which means less time going out and about on the town and doing stuff outside with my girlfriend.

I can see the winter time funk setting in already and i need ideas on stuff we can do together on an average evening maybe 2-4 nights a week. Im just being lazy with the creativity here, i just want to know what you guys do to keep things from turning into just sitting on the couch and watching TV all winter and use it as a little inspiration.

So tell me, what do you do to shake the winter time blues with your girl?

Play Scrabble (she LOVES the damn game)

Workout together in the basement

Talk at the kitchen table about random stuff

Look online to see where we want to take our next vacation, then change our mind again when we look again a couple days later

Go through old crap to see what we don't want anymore

She watches me play some kind of video game

...and so on

Stay In Dinner & a Movie - You cook the dinner together though - really - 50/50 on the cooking. Or, if you want to score HUGE points - YOU cook all of it while she soaks in a hot tub with some wine and/or takes a nap.

Then watch a movie together - let her pick - no bitching though ok? If you bitch, roll your eyes or even twitch a little, you'll kill it.

We like to organize, plan trips, brainstorm on ways to improve the house as well.

I miss the warmer months though.

My girl and I play lots of video games, she watches me play BF3 then I watch her play Lego Harry Potter lol

We smoke my Hookah together

We drink together

Try to find a nice TV series that you both can get in to then that will take care of most of your time! I got my girl in to Bones (lulz) and she hasn't stopped watching it since.

Her and I also play the card game 5000 with each other.

Just try to find some common ground on what you both should do together, you don't want to do something that is focused just on you because that can lead to some problems later on and vice versa. It's all about sacrifice for one another so if there is something that she wants to do but you're not too into it, just do it cause it will make her happy. It will also score you points for when the time comes that you want to do something that she's not really in to, she will be more open to it than she was before since you sacrificed something for her.

Oh, and Mama I might hit you up on the recipe thing lol. My girl is always cooking for me and I want to do something special for her

Can you cook? If not, learn. Women go absolutely apeshit for a man that can cook...plus you can turn it into a night, spend an hour or two cooking with your woman and bing bang boom, good time spent, and hopefully good food lol

My gf and I spend a lot of time getting drunk, playing COD, watching movies, and laughing at stupid shit people post on fb. We occasionally go out for dinner or whatnot as well. My gf also lives with me so I see her 7 days a week

I know it seems like you will be bored all winter but in a relationship things just kind of naturally happen. I'm married to my best friend and I never used to ask my self how can I keep my best friend entertained. We would just come up with shit on that day and it's the same way with my hubby. Sometimes just sitting on the couch is really nice. Involve her in brainstorming for activities when your bored. Be all like " hey babe what do you wanna do today?" that being said have some fun things stored like some two player games and movies. We like series like dexter and breaking bad and have them on DVD. That way when we have free time we can watch something. cooking as a team is something I really love. That way you both feel accomplished. Get a pair of those dice that say like actions on one side aNd body parts on another. Like kiss neck or rub feet you know.

Yes i can cook, and actually i do all the cooking because if i didnt i would either starve, die of food poisoning, the woman cant cook but thats ok, because the cook doesnt clean where i come from and she agrees. But i do the dishes anyway because, well, shes terrible at that too, but its ok because shes drys and puts them away.

Once shes gets back home from her surgery we will be doing a few of these things, im liking the catapult snowmans head at UPS truck one right now.
