Hey guys,
I recently graduated and commissioned through ROTC, will be going to Fort Leonard Wood in February, then moving to El Paso to go to my unit in June. Theres one main problem.

The unit I picked (in an excel worksheet given to me by Cadet Command) doesn't seem to exist. like, at all. The only info I have on it is as follows;

What your looking at is called the VHR (Vacancy Hold Report) that locks me into the unit I chose. Its the 83D Military Police unit, out of El Paso Texas. Its a reserve unit.

This is all the information I have about the unit and can not find a POC. I have called the Fort Bliss Main Directory (915 568 2121) who pushed me to an M.P. Desk (915 568 1236). They thought the 93rd MP Battalion may know and tried forwarding me to the S-1, who had a non-working number (915 567 7254). I then was able to get ahold of their staff desk, to be pushed back to the Main Directory.

I then contacted the 200th MP Brigade and received the following numbers;

83rd Company -
LT Johnson - 915 832 4914 (Does not work, its ALWAYS busy. Ive tried over 30 times)

Batallion
Mr Ratten 559 265 5828 (Does not work)

11th M.P. Brigade
562 - 795 - 2686 ( No one picks up )


I'm running out of idea's and time here and leave it to the mighty MM to help me. Does anyone know how I can reach this unit? All I need is a phone number!

Reserve units are hard as balls to find much info on, I didn't know shit about mine till I got home and showed up at the door.

i was reserve for 15 months before going AD....same thing on both units i was in....almost no info....you'll only be able to get in touch with them at those numbers when on a drill weekend...you may get lucky to be able to talk to a unit administrator but it never worked for me....they probably dont even know your coming, like me...so i wouldnt worry about it to much sir...the reserve is really relaxed...good luck

Ya, they probably don't know you're coming and finding a unit admin phone number can be difficult.

However, you should have a reserve career counselor (or maybe not since you're commissioned). You can contact a local reserve recruiting office and have them find the reserve career counselor for you. Once you get a hold of that guy, he should have all the info you need. It's also his job to make sure you make contact with your new unit so he should be tracking you and your situation already. Get the unit admin number and that should get you set straight.

thanks guys, Im going to try to keep calling here, but I need to get some luck. I need my orders from my unit in order to go to my follow on training. fml.
