saleen or cobra... which would you choose?

My buddy just got a 99 cobra a couple weeks ago and he put it up on craigslist just to see what he would get offered. some guy offered him a 2000 true saleen.

heres the cobra he has now...

Here is the saleen...

The cobra has 140k miles and 3.73 gears and is lowered with eibach springs.
The saleen has 147k miles and is completely stock.

are there any differences other than looks with the saleen? i didn't think there where, but i just wanna make sure.

and i know that the cobra is a much better starting platform with the 4v, but which one do you'll think would be worth more? and which one would yall choose?

BTW he got the cobra with the saleen front bumper, halo lights, and euro tail lights, and gay mirrors...all will be fixed if kept

Cobra. Saleen is just a gt with a body kit....

EDIT: It also has suspension and exhaust, but its not really worth it. Also has a pretty good amount of miles.

Looks=Saleen
Performance=Cobra

Out of those two cars, I would choose the Saleen. That red looks nice, but it's not any faster then a stock 2 valve GT.

What suspension does it have that the GT does not? both really have same miles on the, i tried to blue book the saleen, but it is not on KBB. any ideas what it would be worth?

Usually I saw Cobra, but that Cobra looks like a pile compared to that Saleen.

I would take the saleen... i just love those cars. now if it was a termi, then of course keep the cobra.

keep in mind, if the cobra was kept, i would certainly make sure he got it looking up to par.. he has only had it for a couple weeks.

I THINK just different springs. Not entirely sure on that though.

i have no clue the guy that had it before freakin raped it. i think he just took off all the part he could sale and replaced em with cheap shit.

euro tailights were added
halos were added
cobro front and rear bumper were gone and replaced
and those mirrors were added

been looking for a parts car to replace all the parts back...

If he is willing to put some money in visual parts towards that Cobra, then I would tell him to keep it, if it is in good condition mechanically. Tell him to put some chrome wheels on that thing, the "murdered" look has gotten old. Whoever got rid of that stock Cobra front bumper for that Saleen one needs to have there ass kicked! I like the 99,01 Cobra fronts better and the car needs the other Saleen parts for that bumper to look good. Lowering springs,black housing stock headlights,stock mirrors,chrome wheels and another stock front bumper would really make that Cobra look a lot better, black wheels with a chrome lip would work too!
