New years rant...

Well, I HAD big plans for New Years...

I was supposed to go to a really big end-of-the-year rave at a club called the Epicenter, had a lot of friends and DJ's that were either going or DJing for it.

Well Friday, the Epicenter threw an all ages rave, which is pretty rare to see for Spokane, most venues are 21+ or 18+ at the least, especially for the rave scene, theres a few all ages or 16+ clubs that play regular hip hop and top 40 stuff but very little for the EDM crowd.

Anyways, that same Friday night, everything hits the fan, turns out the guy that owns Epicenter got arrested...FOR RAPING A FREAKING MINOR...AT HIS OWN VENUE!!! Because of that, the Epicenter got shut down,

Fucking people man, everyone in the rave scene has been busting their asses trying to get away from the perception that they're unsafe and drug addled events, and is just starting to gain acceptance here and in Seattle by club owners and promoters, it used to be hard to get a venue because the club owners didn't want "that kind of image".

I understand that it could have happened just as easily at a rock or hip-hop event but that isn't the way the news is looking at it, and now the whole scene is on blast, everyone saying that "this is what goes on raves, they're really bad mmmkay"

So instead I just went downtown with some girls, hit the bars, went broke, got plastered, and watched fireworks. Still had fun.

Reminds me. Had my windows tinted at a place that had been there for years. I went back after a week for a bubble that had formed and learned that the owner had been caught and arrested when a customer walked in and saw him banging a minor in the tint shop office. They never opened back up. Just my luck.

I was at a very nice dinner with my hubby. I was tipsy and in a great mood. On the way home our friend calls and says his GF that dumped him four days earlier is already doing someone else and he needs to move out of their place ASAP. Do we go get him and his two dogs. I was glad to be helping someone out though. Five dogs in our house isn't the easiest lol. All In all it wasn't a bad new year. Got called into work yesterday for some overtime!!

I slept damn near all day yesterday, when I got home I was sober, went to bed for a few hours, woke up hungover

, went back to sleep till about 6pm.

I can't wait till the 4th.

I live in New Orleans basically. The saints playoff game is in the same weekend. The drinking age is basically 18. And I get to go party for 2 days while my friends are in class.

Oh, and I have my ticket that is currently valued at 4k.

Not gonna lie when I was reading and I read rave I though (oh shit he's going back to his old ways, with old friends). I was glad to read it and think thankfully not.

Nah. I'm still really involved with the rave scene but moreso at legitimate venues and clubs rather than the e-fest barn partys where anyone can show up rolling their tits off.
