That's 30 C more than my 460 at idle, and just about the same as 90% usage in-game...

What are you using to measure temp?

ripped the shit apart for the 10th time in two months......

pulled the video card out and cleaned the mother fucker like it contracted the clap....

reversed the flow of a fan that was acting as exhaust and turned it into an intake at the front of the machine that sucks in air from the bottom....

that combined this the pci slot fan i'm operating at 57* c and while watching video's around 60*... haven't stressed it with game play yet, but will find out shortly....

speed fan

and my machine is notrious for operating at high tempatures.... if you google nvidia gt120 and overheating you'll find countless links with the same issue with the same store bought gateway....

there are several solutions, but apparetnly my machine needs all of them combined in order to work. i've only seen 1 success case and that was when someone did everything i have done, and then upgraded the video card, and problem was solved.

which is pretty much the next step.... new video card....

Any way to use MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision and manually adjust the fan?

On that note, does the fan seem to operate correctly?

I've seen reports of MSI 560ti and one fan not moving...

Both of those are gfx card monitors, fan speed adjusters, and also can be used to overclock the card.

You can also have them display that stuff while you play games.
