They've always been at war and they're always going to be at war (Israel and every other fucking Arab country). How about instead of going in and taking a government out of power and then spending billions of tax payer dollars to rebuild their sorry 13th century asses, why don't we take over their oil for ourselves? Spoils of war. You lost, tough shit, bend over and take it. If we invade Iran and then turn around and rebuild them on our taxpayer dime, you will see a new very pissed off side of me. If you're going to invade someone, whoop their fucking ass, slap them like their your little bitch, and leave them to rot in the hot desert sun.

Or option #2. Just stay out of it and not care. It's not like we're still in an arms race or anything and need to keep the Soviet Union in check anymore. Just leave it alone. Israel can defend itself.

option #2 wont work man and its not directly iran. iran is using a satalite country to get around the US/isreal alliance. if iran directly attacks isreal they are fucked and they know it but if they attack isreal using the satalite countries palistaine yemen and lebanon (or whatever is to the north i forget) then we *might* not intervene. but honestly guys iran is prolly the last "major" extremist country that can actually stir shit up.

they do use discretion in a weird ass way. we half ass helped Libya. we are ignoring syria, keeping the port open will be easy as hell with our force. I don't really see a need for troops to set foot in Iran. we may fly over and lay some shit down danger close but collateral damage should be minimal, unlike a ground war in a city. tell Iran to keep floating rubber duckies. well keep dropping them. my guess is we have more air to ground ordinance than they do ships.

yes and yes. but they cant hold a candle to our navy. no other country on earth can. if i remember right they have like 28 ships. 18 of which are frigates that we sold them in the 80's and the rest are helicopter air lift and supply ships from italy (wikapediad that shit lol)

our navy is 280 ships strong.
