First up, the Fusion.
Detroit Auto Show 2012: Ford pushes the 2013 Fusion to 100 mpg | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos

The current Fusion has turned into a mainstay of Ford's lineup, and the most popular car built by an American automaker, with sales hitting 248,067 in 2011. For its redesign, Ford will run the same play it's called on with the smaller Fiesta and Focus −- build one version of the Fusion for sale worldwide, using the Mondeo name in Europe and elsewhere, to lower costs while raising quality. Assembled in Mexico and Michigan, styled in Europe to follow the new Ford global look, two of its three engines will be built in Spain and England.

All three of those engines will be four-cylinder units, in line with the trend among downsized motors for midsize sedans. The base 2-liter four returns with 170 hp and 170 lb.-ft. of torque; the top engine is now a 2-liter EcoBoost turbocharged plant with 237 hp and 250 lb.-ft. of torque — a step down from the top 3.5-liter V6 offered now

Now the editorial part.
The Fusion has got me scratching my head a bit. I know Ford has got it's whole "global" concept going on, but it seems like the US is getting the short end of this stick. We're getting rebadged cars and cars that are first developed and sold in Europe. Lucky us. I'm none too fond of the global manufacture of engines either. It certainly would be nice to see the US market leading the curve again, as well as a US-based manufacturing.

Which is all the more ironic seeing that the definitively Japanese sports car that is the NSX will be built in the US. That just leaves me with one question. Are all the Acura owners going to be saying "USDM as phuck, yo" now?

theres going to be some nice cars coming out in the next few years. ive heard rumors of a successor to the ford gt, the new redesigned viper is supposed to be coming soon, now the new nsx and a couple others

The new Fusion is beautiful. I would like to the the 3.7 V6 out of the Mustang in there though.

I'm with Dennis on this one lol it could be slower than sin and only got 40mph down hill, I want one for work.

I saw that new Fusion yesterday and really like the new styling! Has anyone seen the new Ford Escape?

Ford did mess up on that thing!

That's the current hurr-durr spec to sell ignorant people on electric cars. That 100mpg is some BS "equivalency" that's supposed to compare the efficiency of electric cars to ICEs.

Yeah the whole "MPGe" number is about as relevant as dynamic contrast ratios on TV's.
